Well if you are looking to make a compare and contrast essay, it’s going to be a pretty difficult job. It’s not such a hard thing to do but it requires some patience because you will have to research a lot about the topic in order to be able to compare it and see the contrast clearly. If you have the necessary patience to do this part properly you will be able to do an excellent essay.

• The Topic. Well this is going to be the most important part of all because the whole essay will evolve around this topic so make sure you choose this wisely. There are many sources that you can use in order to find a good topic. The first would be your imagination in my opinion. You can search online and find some really interesting ideas, but trust me they have been used before so it’s not such a good pick. Take the necessary time and think about this yourself and try to pick something that suits you and your interests and you will be able to come up with something far more original. Try to pick something that would fall into the same category ( for example paper ) and see the differences in this topic as well ( different types of paper, the material being used, how it’s produced etc ) and then of course compare the two things you have chosen and put in contrast what you have found and see which one of them seems to be more convenient for you or for anyone else.
• Originality. Like I mentioned above, it has to be something original and you have to find NEW connections between the things you are comparing. NEW is the most important word in this sentence, you have to be able to put in contrast things that the reader’s wouldn’t think of in the blink of an eye, something original and intriguing, a new way of looking at things, a different perspective, this is the whole point of this essay so make sure you take the time to think about this as well before you actually start writing things down on paper. This way you can make sure you will have an excellent essay, not just some old ideas that you express differently that anybody else, you will have a whole new set of ideas and things to discus.
